Suggest Treatment For Severe Migraines

I recently began experiencing migraines. Today, symptoms of migraine began. When I breathe in, not only do I feel more pressure than normal in the lower back side of my head, but I feel a dull pain run from my chest towards my neck and up to the bottom back side of my head. Never felt this before. Any ideas?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe migraines along with dull pain run from chest towards my neck and up to the bottom back side of head. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical radiculopathy , cervical spondolysis or migraine . I could also occur due to cardiac problem like angina . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood tests , CT scan , MRI and lumbar puncture . Doctor may prescribe triptans like sumatriptan , ergotamine and caffeine combination drugs , metoclopramide and narcotics . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist for angina or orthopedic surgeon for cervical problem . For now apply warm compresses to neck , do light stretching exercises , avoid triggers like bright lights and loud sound and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
