Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having lower back pain for over a month and was given (by my Dr.) a muscle relaxer and Norco, which did not help. I finally went back to the dr this friday when it started to get worse. The dr took a urine sample and tested for uti which came back positive. FYI...I have was asymptomatic. I have been taking Nitrofurantoin since friday and will be done tomorrow, however my Sx have not subsided. I m now having a throbing in my hips as well and tingling through my thighs. Please advise which specialist I should see or how to proceed. (I travel 3-4 days a week, covering 16 states and sitting is horribly painful right now.) I have no other concomitant conditions and take no medications outside of the ones mentioned above. I am 44 and workout 4 days a week...in excellent shape. Please advise and help.
