General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I recommend a bilateral hip xray, in order to compare and diagnose the cause. If a hip abnormality is ruled out, then we can go ahead with an ultrasound KUB, to rule out any renal abnormalities.

But if a hip abnormality is noted, then the appropriate action will need to be taken. Most probably a change with the head of the femur could be the cause, depending on the degree we can judge the required treatment.

Best wishes.
