General & Family Physician 's  Response
Spondylosis is degeneration spinal column due to any cause. When the space between two adjacent vertebrae narrows, compression of a nerve root emerging from the spinal cord may result in radiculopathy (severe pain in the neck, shoulder, arm, back, or leg, accompanied by muscle weakness). Direct pressure on the spinal cord (typically in the cervical spine) may result in myelopathy, causing global weakness, gait dysfunction, loss of balance, and loss of bowel or bladder control.

It's a good thing to check up with a MRI. MRI will provide more information. Some treatment options are:
1. Rest with limited movement . Wearing back brace will also help.
2. NSAID drugs
3. Physical therapy
4. Steroid injection
If further pain is still present, then consultation with an Orthopedic Surgeon on surgery options might help.
I hope I have answered your question. Please let me know if you any further questions.
