Suggest Treatment For Severe Loose Stool In A Child
Hello doctor! My baby is 18 months old and she is suffering from stomach trouble( loose motions to be apt) from past 5 days. According to my peadatrician ive been giving enterogermina with zinc drops but it doesnt seems to be effective. Shes on her teething phase. Please suggest what could be done
Hello Dear. Your doctor has given the correct medication. the problem what happens with babies during the development of teeth is that they try to put anything and everything into the mouth. This will cause infection and loose stools. Please keep a thorough watch on your child. Do not allow it to put things into mouth. Give it only boiled water. Give food in a clean container. Take medications as prescribed by your doctor. Give plenty of fluid to the child. many doctors prescribe ORS powder for diarrhoea. Give your child ORS powder mixed in clean water, by consulting your doctor.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
