Suggest Treatment For Severe Legs Pain And Cramps

Hi, I have two problems but not sure if they are related to each other. One is, I have a cramps/pain at the back of my left legs for three weeks now. It hurts a lot if I am sleeping at night or sitting for a long time. My doctor did 2 ultrasound for possible cyst or blood cloth but its negative same with the xtray. The second one . It tingles at my left back and run through my left arms make my finger numb for a moment. This occurs occasionally but it s not going away. Above issues are all happening only in the left side of my body. Is that right to see a neurologist? Please advise thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Since the ultrasound scan has come negative for blood clots, the reason why you could be experiencing severe pain in the legs and cramps could be due to deficiency of calcium, vitamins and electrolytes.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Take analgesic with muscle relaxant medication Tablet. Ibuprofen with Chloroxazone twice daily after food.
2. Take calcium with Vitamin D supplements in the form of tablets everyday. Drink good quantities of milk.
3. Replinish electrolytes by taking Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) along with drinking tender coconut water. Also, intake of citrus fruit juices regularly should be beneficial.
4. Take Tablet containing antioxidant compounds namely Vitamin E and selenium.
5. Take multi-vitamin capsules regularly.
Gradually, your symptoms should subside completely.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
