Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My mother is experiencing joint pain. She is a cancer patient, lymphoma, who is now on retukin every 3 months after having chemo for 6 cycles. She had her last treatment on Sept 1st. It is confusing because could it be a side effect of the retukin or arthritis. Can blood work determine this?
Thank for posting on HCM! For chemotherapy generally occurs several major problems caused by chemicals. before you use the chemical parent doctors complete tests for your mom as to monitor liver function, renal, endocrine .... So do not need to be retested for your mother .After chemotherapy your mum need absolute rest, using nutritional supplements, protect the liver, and the injection of painkillers. Hope helpful to you!
