General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Based on history, you seem to be suffering from Achilles tendinitis. Achilles tendinitis is an overuse injury of the Achilles tendon, the band of tissue that connects calf muscles at the back of the lower leg to your heel bone. Most commonly it occurs in runners who have suddenly increased the intensity, or duration of their runs.

I advise you to consult an orthopedic doctor for proper examination. He or she will also evaluate the flexibility, alignment, range of motion and reflexes of your foot and ankle, and also to rule out rupture of the tendon. Meanwhile, you may take over-the-counter pain medications such as Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for the symptomatic relief of pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
