Suggest Treatment For Severe Heartburn

I have been feeling as if I have heartburn or some type of indigestion the past few months. I thought it was the Aleve I was taking and the systems stopped for a couple of weeks after I stopped the Aleve. But now, the odd feeling is back. Everything else is normal. Elimination is normal and I feel generally okay. Just that nagging heartburn indigestion feeling. I used to have a similar feeling when I ate onions. But I got over that years ago and began eating onions regularly. Could the onion problem be back?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
It could be a acid reflux disease or ulcer and indigestion that cause Heart burn.
Better to consult the gastroenterologist and rule out the any ulcer and esophagitis by endoscopy and some blood tests for H.Pylori like urea breath test and antibody against the H.pylori.
Meanwhile take following advises:
Tablet esmoprazole + domeperidone 30 minutes before meal for 2 week
Tablet metoclopramide at the bed time
Tablet vebact-ds for better digestion
Avoid: spicy/oily food, alcohol, smoking.
Take BRAT diet: banana, orange, applesauce, toast, buttermilk and yogurt
Take small frequent meal rather than large meal.
Avoid stress and do regular exercise like walking and yoga.
Hope this may help you
