Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

I have had a sever headache for 3 days, been to ER and cat scan was negative for bleeders or any other problems. Dr gave pain shot sent me for bed rest 800mg ibuprofen. Did not help called next afternoon and he gave script for hydrocodone. Does not work at dose he ordered. 3rd day and I don t feel better, have not got any energy and head hurts in range of 5-7 when up. What should I do and what could it be? Please not having a good life right now.

Dear,
welcome to HCM
I would suggest to discuss an addition of drugs like naproxen to the prescription, as the given treatment for migraine appears insufficient.
Secondly, do consult a ophthalmologist for eye check up, to rule out other cause for headache.
It the problem still persist a second opinion of neurologist can be considered.
