Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache And Vomiting In A Child
4 year old daughter have severe headaches and vomiting every couple weeks. Recently she has been waking up in the middle of the night with headache and then will vomit. After she vomits she will go back to sleep for the rest of the night. What could be causing this?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of severe headache and vomiting which seems to be due to migraine, dehydration and weak eyesight. It could be due to systemic pathology as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood testing, X-rays and brain scans, such as computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to confirm the diagnosis and rule out serious problems . Doctor may refer you to neurologist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor may prescribe medicines like painkillers , beta blockers , diuretics and anti inflammatory . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
