Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache And Constant Fatigue

I have had a headache and fatigue for the last 2 days, should I see a doctor? I have tried 400mg of ibuprofen and taken naps when possible but nothing helps. I normally get about 6-7 hours of sleep at night. Last week I had an annual physical with fasting labs and nothing came up out of range for my lab results.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI , thanks for using healthcare magic

If the headache is severe, then it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

It is possible that the symptoms are related to a viral illness , this is the most common cause of acute (short term, recent onset) headache and fatigue.

Some viral illnesses can be managed at home but if you feel very unwell or , as stated before, the symptoms are severe, then you should be seen.

Other symptoms would normally point to the type of virus present eg cough or cold symptoms or vomiting/diarrhea
These symptoms can sometimes occur after the headache, fatigue

I hope this helps
