I recently had a bad right ear infection which. Turned out to be MRSA. Treated with oral tetracycline and antibiotic drops. Have been told my eardru.m has 40 percent per formation. Now have been told I probably have MRSA in right Ear which has 80 percent perforation. I had tubes in both ears but they are now gone. I am chronic allergy/sinus patient and take allergy shots. I had fluid in ears 6 times last year so thought tubes would help. My PCP thinks The MRSA is probably coming from sinuses. I had 2 sinus surgeries (2004 and 2010). My hearing is very bad and hearing aid suggested. Hearing loss has significNtly changed since diagnosed in February with MRSA. If I had sinus surgery again would that take care of this infection and help my hearing? Any suggestions? I am 67 years old.
