2 weeks ago I had really bad diarrhea and I notice some mucous in my stool. dr gave some antibiotics and went away. 6 days ago I started again but now is not diarrhea but I have to go to bathroom several times, today I passed a gas and I though I poop on my pants, went to the bathroom and it was a clear jelly-not smell. I have been very stress on my job plus this is making me worry too

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there. I have read through your question and mucous in stool indicate s towards an amoebic infection. If I was your physician I would prescribe you a course of Metronidazole for 7 days. Along with that a pro biotic like sporolac to maintain the normal flora of the stomach. You can consult your physician about this. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
I find this answer helpful
