Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And High Fever In An Infant
My baby, about to complete 8 months on 10th of August had severe loose motion with high fever on 24th July. Had febrile seizures by the end of day and had to be admitted to hospital. He was discharged after 2 days when the fever and loose motions had stopped. But since 3 days he had chest congestion and the loose motion has come back again. He s passing motion whenever anything is being fed, especially milk(formula). BTW he s on exclusive bottle feeding. Now his stool is streaked with blood and mucous and he s unwilling to eat anything. Please help!!

With the blood in the stool and not being able to eat anything, I would recommend bringing your baby back to the ER to be evaluated again, because it sounds like his condition has changed since he left the hospital, and these signs would be concerning for a serious problem and he may also be getting dehydrated.
