Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Loss Of Breath

Hi, I am experiencing involuntary exhalation in tiny but incredibly uncomfortable puffs, accompanied by a faint loss of breath, slight light headedness and the sick feeling you get with butterflies . They worsen in certain positions, especially lounging or sitting, but happen in all positions. Sometimes I need to cough after them. I have been told by various GPs that it is just stress, or anxiety, etc. but this feels very much like a lazy diagnosis and what I d call a cop out . I don t care if they are some response to stress or anxiety. I just want the thing named, the physiology explained to me, as a priority, and from there I am more likely to find a treatment. Not knowing what this is, is horrifying. Thanks, Justin
