Suggest Treatment For Severe Constipation

Hi, my age is 38 and I m having fissure issue from last one and half months. I m little surprised that why this problem suddenly started, I mean before that I was not having any constipation issue. Can someone please tell why my constipation is not going away even though I m having proper fiber rich diet and 3 to 4 ltrs of water in a day. One more thing is I lost around 6 kgs of weight in last 2 months even though I m not having much of bleeding (but having lot of pain and inflammation). Please help me to understand root cause. Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

The fissue is caused by the constipation you are having, and you are doing right thing to get rid of constipation that is use of high fiber diet and ample fluids but as you are not getting enough relief i belief its is time that you should consult a gastroentrologist regarding the problem he can get some tests done to know the cause plus he can give you prescription meds like syrup Gremafin or lactulose or sodium picosulphide which are stronge anti constipation(laxative) drugs.

I would suggest you not to panic and contact your gastroentrologist, weight loss and fissure are just secondary to the GI problem your are having I would advise you to first address this issue.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
