Suggest Treatment For Severe Cold And Headache

I had a bad cold two weeks ago that included headaches and dizziness. Since then I have a cough and am coughing up clear fluid with both bubbles. This is normally followed by a runny nose. My abdomen just below my breasts is tender and sore ....more pronounced on the right side.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The acute infection appears to be still present because your cough is still productive.

You may want to consider the use of a mucolytic which is a type of medication that breaks up the mucus in the chest . This would allow it to be easily expelled.
They are available over the counter. Examples are bisolvan, mucomyst, aeroflux, guaifenesin.

Persistent coughing can be associated with chest pain as well. A cough suppressant to reduce the coughing and an anti inflammatory pain medication for the pain , may be helpful.
Eg are ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam

I hope this helps
