Suggest Treatment For Severe Cold And Cough

I had a cold for about two weeks. The cough is the only thing that remains but yesterday my nose just started pouring orange liquid! Just like a water faucet. This happened several times throughout the day. What could it have been? Should I see a Dr. If it hasn't happened today?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain the orange liquid dripping from nose after a history of cold can be due to sinus infection leading to slight bleeding from the sinus lining and the fluid accumulation occurs in the sinuses leading to dripping or a watery orange fluid from the nose as the sinuses drain through the nose..
It can also be due to inflammation in the lining of nasal mucosa due to cold leading to formation of small blood clots and they may ooze out fluid that can appear as orane colour in the nasal discharge..
Nothing to worry, you can take a short course of antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Ofloxacin, saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and avoid sniffing the nose with too much pressure..
You can also take a cough expectorant to relieve cough..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
