Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Infection And Pleurisy

my husband is in hospitalat the moment with pleurisy and chest infection on both lungs he had 5 days on iv antibiotics and 30mg prednisolone and is now taking oral co amoxiclav but his blood tests are showing the markers have plateaud instead of continuing to improve,is he resistant to the antibiotics or did they take him off iv antibiotics to soon, he suffers from ra and pf and recently had a Rituximab infusion

Hi,

Go with AST, it will tell which antibiotics can work for him. Obviously, Prednisolone is not required now as it is infectious.
