Suggest Treatment For Severe Burning Sensation In The Throat
It has been 6 days since I burnt my throat swallowing hot food. My throat is still so sore I can't swallow without intense pain. Aside from drinking milk to coat my throat, is there anything else I can try. It's waking me several times a night. Also how long will it take to heal?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that there has been ulceration in throat and food pipe due to burning with hot foods leading to severe pain caused due to inflammation..
As of now you can take Sucralfate that will help in coating the ulcers and will help in preventing further damage.. You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. You ca drink plenty of cool water and also can suck ice pops.. You can also take a soft and bland diet and completely avoid hot, spicy and hard foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
