Hello,
As I see from history the medicines are given for your chronic breathing difficulty and may be this might be or might be not possible that the medicine didn't suit you.
I think you are suffering for COPD. The COPD stands for chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease. As you are having breathing troubles since two years I suspect there is a lung pathology. Now in two years of time the muscles of respiration must have gone weak and so the problem isn't coming down but rising only. I do not know if you are taking any kind of
pulmonary rehabilitation (pulmonary exercise) to improve the condition you are in.
But still will guide something. The medicine used for COPD are symptomatic and tries to ease the discomfort happened due to the pathology. Body has to heal on its own and you have to put alot of effort in it sometimes. Respiratory system is the important system of the body and any kind of trouble in it can lead to lot of other complications. The medicine might have been prescribed based on the clinical complains provided by you at that time.
What I will suggest is you need to keep your lungs humidified at most times. You can use
nebulizer and the drug can be given under the prescription for opening the obstructed tracts of the respiratory system. You can even take
oxygen saturation machine which will help you to have ease in breathing as the oxygen supply will be constant. Buying a
pulse oximeter will be of benefit to check each time the oxygen saturation levels in the body. Very handy and easily available, known as pulse oximeter.
Next you need to through a pulmonary rehabilitation process under a guided pulmonary physical therapist. The exercise in the PR will focus on getting the strength in the respiratory muscles, improve the overall distribution of the oxygen throughout the body without leading breathlessness, improve the
vital capacity and also the
Peak expiratory flow rate. Buying a peak expiratory flow metre will be also advised if frequent Respiratory issues happen.
In my clinical practice of 12 years, most cases of COPD responds well to pulmonary rehabilitation process.
I will guide you the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
