Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain

Hello, I am 29 years old. Suffering with severe back pain since 2 months. In MRI, it was identified that Mild L5-S1 disc bulge mildly compresses the thecal sac . I have taken the medication and 9 session of physio therapy. Even after undergoing those, still its paining. What is the correct treatment and what is the time that i can be recovered completely. I dont lift any heavy objects, and i am software engineer and taking care of sitting posture and frequently having a short breaks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to disc bulging causing nerve compression.

For further assessment you may require nerve conduction studies along with MRI back after spine surgeon consultation.

For that you may require surgical intervention after surgeon consultation.

Till then you can take tablet acetaminophen for pain.

Restrict your movements. Use support while walking

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
