Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain

My last period was october 9,2015.I was told i am pregnant. However did nt have my first prenatal visit as yet. The day before yesterday start feeling a bad pain in my back were if i move it was painful. Went to er were i was told that i have a uti. Was seen and checked by the doctor who said my cervix was closed and hcg level and sonogram were showing that the pregnancy measured to be six weeks. Their was no heart beat at that time. They gave me medicine and told me to keep my appoinment with my doctor which is coming up this monday. I was spotting later that day which turned into cramping and red blood. Not alot but enough. Few tissues. Not large or big amounts. Now cramping is gone. Little pain when i move in my back.Could i be having a miscarriage?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
As per the HCG levels and sonogram reports, you are suggesting that it indicates 6 weeks pregnancy.
Well, appearance of heart beat can be picked up by ultrasound by 7th week, most of the times between 8 to 10 weeks of gestation.
However, experiencing back pain, spotting and passing tissue like things during early weeks of pregnancy is not a good sign and could indicate abortion.
Hence, you need to take complete bed rest and drink good quantity of fluids during this stage.
Kndly get an ultrasound scan done at the earliest and consult Gynecologist for appropriate management. If there is a chance for continuing pregnancy, it could be done by administration of certain medications.
