Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety Despite Consuming Anti Depressants

I suffer from severe anxiety. Anti Depressants do not help me. I take Effexor 75mg., Paxil 40mg. and colzapan .5mg I have so much stress going on right now and anxiety getting the best of me. My daughter has Stage 3 bone cancer, I am working 50 hours a week to help her and my grandson moved in with us, he has problems and my daughter can t handle him. I go to a therapist. But things are really over whelming me. I am 65 and I need know what should I do to help my anxiety.

I can understand your concern. With so much going around you with every single problem difficult to deal with, it is not surprising that you are feeling overly anxious and depressed. However, I would advise you that even if everything is related to you and it sure affects you, there are things that you have no control over and you cannot do anything about it.

The medicines you are taking are for controlling depression and anxiety only but if they are not working for you, you can ask your doctor to increase the dosage of some.medicines while changing or adding some as he can decide by his judgment after a session with you. I would also advise you to try to take small breaks for dinner or movie with friends so that you can get a change and come back refreshed.
