Suggest Treatment For Severe Allergy After Consuming NSAIDs

Hi. i recently had a severe allergy after consuming NSAIDs and was prescribed antihistamines and prednisone. The swelling went down but after two days, I developed a mild fever and uncomfortable heart palpitations. The heart palpitations come on and off especially after extended periods of movement (e.g. climbing stairs). I also noticed that I became less tolerant of heat and was sweating more. My appetite is poor and my heart beat increases although there is no visible change around my neck, I do feel a discomfort around my throat, especially around the thyroid. The discomfort is not painful but annoying, especially when during swallowing. Could this be subacute thyroiditis? I have had no prior episodes of such symptoms before this.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
.You seem to be suffering from reflux disease as a side effect of NSAID .
At the same time palpitation may be as side effect of antihistamine.
If I were your treating doctor I would have prescribed you Pantoprazole and domperidone combination for a few days.
And to be on safer side taken your EKG to rule out any cardiac thing.
Drink lot of water. Avoid spicy food, tea , coffee.
If does not improve in 48 hours, see your doctor.
Hope you have answer to your query, if any thing else you are welcome.
Good luck.
