Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain

Hi had severe pain in my right side going towards my stomach. Went to the doctor and he thinks I have kidney stone. He gave me buscopan and voltaren and Panadol to take. The pain is much better almost gone. So do you think it could be kidney stones. Just amazed how the pain went quiet quickly after the medication Many thanks Anna

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Pain from kidney stones can be episodic. It can give severe pain which is called as renal colic. The analgesic and antispasmodic you have taken might have given you relief. It is better to undergo an ultrasound examination to rule out kidney stones. Small stones will get expelled through urine if taking more water daily. Urine alkalizing agents will be helpful in decreasing size of stones also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
