Suggest Treatment For Several Back Pain With UTI

I went to an urgent care earlier today for severe internal back pain on my right side. They did a urinalysis and said I have a UTI, gave me Cipro, and sent me home. They didn't even touch my back or do any other tests. I have been crying for 3 days, can't sleep, have trouble walking and sitting, and have no idea what to do at this point. I have no symptoms of a UTI exept odor in my urine. I noticed this about 2 weeks ago. I'm worried that it may have spread to my kidneys. I don't think having an infection should put me in the amount of pain. I have taken Aleve, Ibprophen, Tylenol with Codeine, and Tramadol. I feel like I'm overdosing on medication and still have no improvement in my pain level. I'm wondering if I should go to an emergency room to have further testing done?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to your narration, it seems most likely that you have a right-sided renal or ureter calculus.

You require ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis to get the cause of your pain. Diagnosis of the underlying condition for final management plan rather than going on taking loads of pain killers, which may damage your kidney further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
