Hi,

There are several good, effective and safe drugs to treat complex partial seizures. These include Carbamazepine, Oxcarbazepine, Lamotrigine, etc. Regarding marijuana, its role is not proven, and moreover, it is not the first line treatment for complex partial seizures.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist
