Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, your brother should do an MRI T2-weighted Brain and an EEG to diagnose epilepsy. After the confirmation of the diagnosis, he should take medical treatment. He must not have a single epileptic attack for 2-3 years, then the doctor will withdraw the medical treatment. If he did not respond, he can ask a specialist in neurosurgery for help. Finally, if his previous illness was not treated completely, this would hamper the treatment of epilepsy he has.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
