Suggest Treatment For Seborrheic Dermatitis And Red Flaky Lines

I have saeborrheic dermatitis and nizoral is not helping me get rid of it. I am using nizoral 2% twice a week. I am balding in hair thinning in lines all over the scalp and even the sides of my head, accompanied with red flaky lines. Itchy years too.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain Seborrheic Dermatitis or Cradle cap is a skin disease effecting the scalp leading to itchy dry and flaky patches with loss of hair..

It can occur due to a number of causes like fungal infection, stress, side effect of medication, moist weather while at times the cause is unknown.
Nizoral contains active ingredient Ketoconazole and you can continue using the same..

Along with it you should also use shampoos containing Coal tar, Salicylic acid, Selenium Sulfide and Zinc Pyrithione..
You can also use steroid solution..
You can keep the scalp dry and clean and avoid moisture accumulation..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
