Suggest Treatment For Scalp Infection, Bump Like Painful Itchy Pimples Causing Dandruff
Hello Doctor,im suffering from scalp infection,bumps like pimples which are pinful and itchy causing a lot of dandruff in my scalp.At present im using Logidruf and Clotrimazole Beclomethasone Lotion for the as suggested by the Doctor i went to see. Can you please advice me Doctor some more effective measures to deal with my problem. Thankyou A.ryntathiang

Scalp dandruff is actually fungal infection of the scalp.
Your doctor has prescribed you anti-fungals to clear the dandruff.
Dandruff is difficult to eradicate and management consists of keeping scalp clean, regular use of anti-fungal ointments and shampoos containing anti-fungals.
Recurrence of dandruff may occur when treatment is stopped thus long term use is required.
However, development of pimple like lesions which are painful and itchy are unlikely to be due to dandruff.
These lesions appear to be due to some other cause.
The pimples may be due to acne, boil or furunculosis.
A clinical assessment is required to look for the cause and thus management of pimples.
I suggest you to continue your dandruff treatment and consult a dermatologist for development of pimple like lesion.
