Suggest Treatment For Scabs And Itchy Dry Patches Of Skin

I have scabs on my face that started a little over two years ago. The first one started two years ago, I thought I could deal with one, and two years later the one on my forehead, cheek, nose, temples, now check and side of jawbone has it (all the later within the past year). I guess of better description would itchy dry patches of skin with lifted dry skin. I m not sure what it is, but I would like to what I could possibly have to know specialized doctor I should go to.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of scabs and itchy dry patches of skin, the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as sunburn or photoallergic dermatitis . In this condition the symptoms like peeling of skin and dry patches become prominent. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face such as forehead, cheek, nose, temples with cold water. Apply cold compresses to your face 2-3 times a day. Take antihistamine drug like benadryl . Apply roat spectrum sunscreen to face all the times. Apply vitamin C serum at night. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment and retinoids .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
