Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had my tooth pulled almost a month ago. I6 took over 2 weeks for the pain to finally go away but occasionally i still feel like I have a tooth pain. Well today i noticed they area kind of felt weird just ignored it. When i got home i pressed my tongue against it and heard a pop and there was a bunch of blood and pus come out. What could this be.
As per your query ruptured pustule in mouth after tooth extraction which is giving feeling of pain and bunch of blood and pus is there is mainly because of left over infection in socket. Before extraction of that tooth there must be underlying infection which was not properly resolved by antibiotics.
I would suggest you to visit dentist again and get IOPA done as X-ray will evaluate type and extent of infection and bone involvement.
Go for incision and drainage of abscess and infection after taking proper antibiotic course.

Suggest Treatment For Ruptured Pustule In Mouth
Hi Dear, Welcome to HCM. Understanding your concern. Take combination of Ibuprofen and Diclofenac to prevent further infection. Maintain hygiene of oral cavity by brushing and flossing daily. Do betadine and warm saline gargles. Go for repeated cleaning procedure till the time pus resolves. Get that area cleaned by scaling as well. Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
