General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The commonest cause of pain on one side of face and head is indicative of one of the following conditions:
* Trigeminal neuralgia.
* Sinusitis on the same side.
* Associated medical conditions that instigate or enhance the pains can be hypertension.

Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor to have physical check up including vitals like temperature, pulse and blood pressure. Investigations as per the clinical diagnosis as mentioned above. CT scan of sinuses to watch for any sinusitis. MRI for Trigeminal nerve. And any other investigations to find an appropriate cause. You will be treated as per the diagnosis, say for example Amitriptyline or any other for Trigeminal neuralgia, Antihistamine and steroid for allergic sinusitis, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory for bacterial sinusitis. Remember that some conditions need a long course of treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
