General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cause of sciatic nerve pain, like compression etc should be ruled out. X-ray lumbar spine may be needed. If X-ray is unremarkable, CT or MRI may be needed. If knees are getting or bluish or swelling is found local pathologies should also be ruled out.

Bakers cysts etc should be reviewed if present. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful. If pain is severe more potent analgesic like Tramadol or Gabapentin may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
