Suggest Treatment For Restricted Movement In The Leg Despite A Normal X-ray Report

My 2 year old grandson was running and fell, we did not see him twist anything, however he will not walk on his foot. He has been scooting, crawling for 4 days now. X-rays showed nothing wrong. He says he has a boo-boo but we can move the foot, leg, hip, etc. No punctures, no bites, no pickers, nothing. They want us to see an Pediatric Ortho Surgeon...could this possibly be muscular/ligaments YYYY@YYYY ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If X-ray shows nothing, no dislocation or fracture. Hope we ruled out scurvy and rickets. It could be muscle or joint pain. also limp can indicate electrolyte abnormalities. Better to show to a specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
