Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a CT scan with contrast and findings were bronchial wall thickening and nodular infiltrate on right lower lobe. I have been sick with coughing and coughing up mucus. I was told I had a respiratory virus. they gave me steroids for 5 days but i still was coughing after finishing the medicine
The CT scan report is suggestive of pneumonia. I suggest you to stop taking steroids and take a course of suitable antibiotic like azithromycin or clarithromycin along with a mucolyte such as bromohexine or guaefenesin.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
