Suggest Treatment For Respiratory Infection And Fluid Pouch In The Armpit

Good afternoon, My question is, I had the flu/upper respiratory infection in December that I did not take antibiotics for. 10 days ago I noticed about a 4cm. soft fluid like pouch under my armpit. I took a course of Amoxicillin for Mexico and it is about 1/3 of the size. I does not hurt and there is no lump, will this go away on it s own? I feel like the infection may have settled there. No other symptoms/

hi,

thank you for providing the brief history of you.

A thorough examination of the area is advised.

As you feel that there is fluid accumulation in the armpit, an x-ray may be advised to check if any pathology of the lung is present. Also, you have not mentioned any symptom about breathing difficulty so changes of infection will be less, but still an examination and x-ray will be advised.

Also, performing regular breathing exercises will help improve the lung capacity and avoid future infections.
