Suggest Treatment For Redness On The Stomach When Diagnosed With PTSD

Greetings I have redness under my stomach. When I am under a lot of stree I start getting red blotches . I have a cream, Triamcinolone Acetonide USP,0.1%. I think my doctor percribed this for my situation. I have PTSD and am recovering from surgery,I have had 7 surgeries in the last two years: 2 knee replacements, carpal Tunnel syndrome on both hands, trigger fingers repaired on both hands and surgery to release my planter facitis. Can I use the cream for the blotches ? There is some itching going on. Thank you!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of red blotches on stomach, my treatment advice is -
1. First we need to diagnose your condition. Red blotches may be fungal infection or any formal dermatitis.
2. Triamcinolone is a mid-strength steroid cream. So it will not be advisable to use it.
3. Use a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
4. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine it itching is present.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
