Suggest Treatment For Redness Around Tailbone Area

Hi, I have a small area of redness around my tailbone area which has come up in the past few days. It is now becoming uncomfortable to sit on. I noticed it after doing quite a heavy session at the gym, in particular after going on the rowing machine. Any idea of what this could be?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely due to pressure on this area of spine.

If possible you should try exercises or activity that would not have this effect.
Sitting on cushioned chairs would also be best for a while.

The use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as naproxen, ibuprofen, cataflam, would help to relieve any discomfort.
A warm compress would help.

I hope this helps
