Suggest Treatment For Red Patches On Both Side Of My Neck

I have these very red patches that have appeared on both side of my neck. The left side is bigger and it even goes back towards the back of my hairline. The right side is a little bit smaller. They both itched a lo at the beginning and started to dry out but seem to get worse. Then I recently started having a small patch appear and itch a lot right in the center of my cleavage. I have tried triple antibiotic ointment (no change), tea tree oil (makes it even redder and it burns), rubbing alcohol (burns and makes it redder), Gold Bonds intensive healing cream (soothes it but still no change), antifungal cream for jock itch (stops the itch but makes it flake a lot and then it starts to itch). I do not know what to do know! Should I use antifungal powder to dry the patches out and not keep them spreading due to all these ointments I keep applying that are keeping it moist?? This has been going on for about 3 months now!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per description of your skin lesions and treatment you have done it looks like it is viral infection like herpes. Try antiviral cream like acyclovir. Keep that area dry. you can take course of oral acyclovir. Work your primary care doctor to achieve these.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
