Suggest Treatment For Red Irritable Urticaria And Burning Sensation On Face
I suffer from urticaria. At the moment it comes up red and is irritable all over. However, my face has also a burning sensation, and this has been going on for two weeks now. I have caught the sun a bit and it feels a bit like sunburn, but I'm not sure this is the reason for the skin burning sensation on my face
When sun exposure exceed the protective capacity of skin pigment it causes sun burn which leads to rashes and burning sensation of skin.People with fair skin and people who taking medicines like ibuprofen are more prone to sun burn.
The symptoms ou mention occur because of sun exposure.
I would suggest you to:-
- Apply cold compresses to the affected area .
- Take aspirin or acetaminophen for itchiness and burning sensation.
- Avoid sun exposure .
- Drink plenty of water .
- Take over the counter anti allergic drug like benadryl or zystec .
- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 even if you are not under sun exposure.
If symptoms doesn't get better in 3-4 days consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe steroids or hydroxychloroquinone.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
