Nephrologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to HCM.
Kidney infection is common problem especially with diabetics.
Kidney infection requires treatment with antibiotic with specified time duration depending upon site of infection and evaluation regarding the cause of kidney infection.
Do basic urine report, S. creatinine, and sonography or CT scan.
Don't get worried. It is completely curable but require proper evaluation and treatment.
Maintain adequate hydration.
I think this would be helpful to you.
Best wishes. TC.

Urologist Dr. Dr. P. T. Patil's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .

Getting repeated infections of the kidney in spite of taking antibiotics strongly needs to rule out presence of stone in kidney .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) renal function test.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Dr.Patil.
