Suggest Treatment For Recurring Itchy Hives On Body

My daughter has had recurrent hives/weps. Treatments have not been helpful and they itch. Steroids have been prescribed but no diagnosis. And lengthy use is not desirable. Other treatment has been Ararat, but still hives continue. Lately, hives became blisters after scratching, according to urgent care. Any idea(s)? She's 34 & in otherwise good health. Thanks

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain recurring hives can occur commonly due to allergic reaction to some unknown allergen and there is a possibility that you are being recurrently exposed to the allergen leading to recurring hives..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical examination and also advise you allergic tests like Patch test, Prick test,RAST test, food challenge test etc to rule out the exact cause of the hives and treat you accordingly..
In case if it is due to allergic reaction, the best way to prevent allergy attack is to avoid exposure to allergen..
You can take anti allergics like Allegra or benadryl and a course of steroids for reducing symptoms..
You can be advised injectable steroids for faster relief from symptoms..
An Immunotherapy can be instilled to reduce the severity and duration of the symptoms..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
