Suggest Treatment For Recurring Ear Infections And Allergies

I have repeated ear infections, and sinus infections, and allergies. I have taken antibiotic, antihistamine, and Tylenol for 2 weeks, and ear is still painful. It hurts deep inside, and sometimes itches. Anything else I can use for relief? Does perioxide in ear work?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to use nasal decongestants as oral pills (pseudoephedrine) and also rinse your nose with normal saline twice a day (nasal lavage) to unclog the nostrils and help the eustachian tubes to open. Also, you may use Ibuprofen for pain as it is more helpful than Tylenol in most of the patients.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
