Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Sinus Infections Despite Taking Antibiotics

Omg! I have had the most awful sinuses for over 2 years. Told it was a virus infection to the point I was coughing so much I couldn't breathe. Told my doc I don't know how I drag myself out of bed in the mornings. After my first op, I had a fab year. Came back bid time. Loads of steroids and antibiotics. Had another op in 8th September to open sinus drainage and clean them out and had my turbinates reduced. Still have infection. Went back in on 20th December for wash out. Went back 30th December to be told infection had gone. 26th Jan infection back pseudomonas and staph aureus. Back in 21st Feb for wash out. Still have infection had so many antibiotics none seem to work been on steroids for so long. Losing the will here. Any suggestions please getting desperate

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As there is recurrent sinus infection, sinus blockage from various reasons is prime concern with secondary cause of low immunity. I recommend to undertake an MRI of concerned region for best possible evaluation and management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
