Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Cellulitis And Continued Edema

Several months ago I was diagnosed with cellulitis. I was prescribed an antibiotic, but it returned a few weeks later. Again, it was treated with antibiotics. It has been nearly a year and, although not as bright and weepy looking, the area is sore, there is a continued edema, and the area is beginning to be more pronounced. How likely is it that this is, in fact a recurrence of cellulitis. My work requires that I am constantly on my feet--could the use of special compression socks take the place of keeping my leg raised?

Hi dear!

Welcome and thanks for consulting me. I have carefully worked through your case, and realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as your health issues may resolve soon.
Yes, this is cellulite and its chronic. Yes, compression stockings will help you relieve. But make small breaks and keep legs raised. Also during standing keep on moving on the feet and squeeze the leg muscles to tighten them so as to make blood circulation enhanced.

I need more cooperation from you, in order to make you completely healthy and relieve you from this disease.
1. Fasting Blood sugar levels (2 different mornings readings).
And fasting lipid profile and serum uric acid levels
2. Your blood pressure recordings written by you on a chart with date and time. Check your BP twice daily and record on a paper for 3days and make a picture in that paper and attach to your next Direct question.
4. Write complete list of medicines, you are taking right now.
5. Any allergies to medicine or others
6. Press your legs with your thumb, against the leg bone in front, and leave after 30seconds. Is there some dent in the area where you pressed? Do it for both legs and tell me.
7. Any fever along with the cellulitis?
8. Any other significant medical history, other than cellulitis?
9. If possible, add a picture of the area of cellulitis in the next direct question.

Once Lab Reports are with you, simply go to my profile and press "Ask me a question" directly. Give me the details there and I will come back to you in no time.

May you get very well soon and have a wonderful time ahead. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star ranking, so that I may be in a better position to help you in future too. Go to my profile to write a Review regarding your experience with me here at my Virtual clinic.
