Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Canker Sores, Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck And Fatigue?

I have had recurrent canker sores since January. I also have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and severe fatigue, low grade temp. I have been treated for HSV 1 with 3 rounds of Acyclovair. Symptoms still recurring within 4-5 days of finishing Acyclovir. Any Suggestions?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain recurrent canker sores along with swollen lymph nodes in my neck and severe fatigue, low grade temp and also having a history of Herpes simplex virus infection for which you have taken 3 rounds of antiviral medications seems to be most probably due to viral infection only..

Infection is causing the symptoms of fever and lymph node enlargement along with sores in mouth..
I would suggest you to consult an Infectious medicine specialist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like CBC, Viral culture, oral swab culture etc can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly

As of now you van take tylenol to reduce temperature..
Do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine can help..
Avoid hard and spicy food.
Suck ice..
Do cool compresses over the lymph nodes..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
