Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis

I get recurrent bacterial vaginosis. I have symptoms again but have not started treatment yet as I am going to get the medicine tomorrow. I noticed this evening some what appeared to be blood in loose stool. Does this happen with baterial vaginosis or should I see a GI doctor?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bacterial vaginosis is characterised by vaginal discharge, discomfort in the genital tract etc.
Recurrent bacterial vaginosis requires complete course of anti-microbial treatment.
However, blood in stools is not indicative of bacterial vaginosis.
Blood in stools is a gastrointestinal problem.
It can occur in infection of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), trauma, polyp, growth, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel disease etc.
I suggest you to get stool examination first to look for evidence of infection.
If the stool test is normal, you need to consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations (lower GI endoscopy) and thus management.

Thanks and take care
